Waddle Dees are the most common enemy in the Kirby Series, appearing in most games since Kirby's Dream Land. Most of them serve as enemies, most commonly working loyally for King Dedede, though a few also act as allies to Kirby such as Bandana Waddle Dee.

Kirby's Dream Land[]
Waddle Dees first appear in Kirby's Dream Land as the weakest enemy in the game. They run and hop around the stage while ignoring Kirby, though they will damage Kirby upon contact. Parasol Waddle Dees also make their first appearance and drift down from the sky, dropping their parasols and acting like a regular Waddle Dee once they land.
In the Extra Game they will move much faster and act more unpredictably, making them harder to avoid.

Waddle Dees return in Kirby's Adventure and act the same way as they did in Dream Land. Inhaling a Waddle Dee will not give Kirby a Copy Ability.

Many delicate creatures like this one inhabit Dream Land. They generally live carefree lives and have never considered themselves to be followers of King Dedede. Waddle Dees are innocent and generally harmless to man and beast. While they have virtually no offensive or defensive power, they'll sometimes try to wield a parasol.

A carefree creature that wanders the hills and dales of Dream Land. Basically harmless to creatures great and small, Waddle Dees sometimes use parasols to float down through the skies. If Kirby swallows a parasol, he'll get one he can use to float or ward off enemy attacks. On the other hand, Kirby can't copy anything by swallowing Waddle Dees themselves.
