The Hermit Crabs appear in Sonic Heroes, where they are found exclusively in Team Chaotix's version of Seaside Hill. Twenty Hermit Crabs are hidden throughout the level, and the player must collect ten crabs (all twenty in the stage's Extra Mission) to complete the stage.
