Strategy Guide Description[]

Air battle droids are the upgraded flying version of the standard battle droid. Unlike the ground units, the fliers are equipped with a short blade, an arm-mounted blaster, and a shield that can block lightsaber attacks. They are effective up close in melee combat. After they land and take up a fighting stance, air battle droids activate an arm shield that allows them to block lightsaber attacks.

When fighting these enemies, hit them while they are still flying. They have no shields activated while airborne and can be eliminated with a couple slashes of the lightsaber. When they are on the ground, with their shields ready, use Force grasp or push to get them to lower their shield, then slash away.
